June, 2020, we repaired and extended the groins at Cabin Point, and installed the “new” ramp down to the beach. We attached a yardstick to the groin to track accretion. You can just make it out on the groin, just over the middle post on the ramp.
So, here’s the view today:
And the sand and gravel that we capture on the beach does not continue upstream to fill the inlet and increase the need for future dredging.
