Electricity at the Pool

It has come to the Association’s attention that there is a rumor circulating about a serious electrical concern with the pool to include “two users getting shocked”.

This is NOT TRUE.  We did have a very faint but detectable and non-dangerous “tingle” when patrons touched either of 2 of the underwater lights during the June Howl at the Moon event on June 22d. We disconnected those lights from their power source and the “tingling” stopped. Since then, we have stopped using any of the underwater lights and will not be using them at all until the problem is fully resolved. We have retired electrical engineers and electricians in the community who have been assessing the situation for several weeks before we call in more professionals to actually make repairs. Until then, the power is OFF.

This year, for all but one week of the season, the Glebe Harbor-Cabin Point Association pool has experienced record levels of swimmers.  COME AND JOIN THE FUN!!
