This is a reminder of the GHCPA Annual Meeting and Election of Directors on Saturday, August 22, 2020, at 9:30 am at the Clubhouse.  The purpose of this meeting is to elect three persons to fill the director positions whose terms are expiring.  We are following Virginia’s Phase 3 guidelines which recommend limiting the time of indoor, in-person gatherings to mitigate the risk of transmission of the Coronavirus.  Consequently, this will not be a general business meeting.  The report to the community which would normally be given at the meeting will be posted on the gh-cp.org website following the meeting.

The GHCPA Board of Directors is recommending three persons to fill the three director positions whose terms are expiring.  The candidates are Angi Murphy, Barbara Cole, and Jeanne Axtell.  The bios for these candidates may be viewed HERE.  Nominations may also be made from the floor, provided the person making the nomination has first obtained the consent of the person being nominated.  We encourage all members to consider voting by proxy, or to limit the number of persons attending the meeting to one owner per lot or voting interest.  Proxies must be submitted by August 14, 2020 to the Clubhouse office or by email to ghcpassoc@gmail.com.

For those persons desiring to attend the August 22 meeting in-person, we will limit occupancy to ensure that six feet of physical distance can be maintained between attendees who are not members of the same household.  Members entitled to vote shall be admitted on a first-come, first served basis, after having a temperature check and answering health questions related to possible Covid-19 exposure.  All members are expected to wear a mask and maintain social distancing while inside the Clubhouse and while waiting for admittance to the Clubhouse.  Members not admitted because of occupancy limits shall be permitted to wait outside of the clubhouse, and shall receive information regarding floor nominations, shall be permitted to make floor nominations themselves, and shall be permitted to vote for any properly nominated candidate. Because the check-in process may take longer than usual, we urge you to arrive early (e.g., 9 am) so that health screening and registration can be completed for all in-person attendees before the meeting starts. 

The GHCA and CPCA civic associations will hold their meetings and elections after the GHCPA elections are concluded.  Instructions will be given for orderly dismissal to avoid bottlenecks at the entrance and exit doors.
