NOTICE TO THE GH-CP COMMUNITY – HURRICANE/TROPICAL STORM ISAIAS

The Mt. Holly area surrounding Glebe Harbor and Cabin Point is within the predicted cone of Hurricane/Tropical Storm Isaias as it moves up the eastern seaboard of the U.S.

If the forecast track of the storm continues to hold, we may expect storm conditions early next week.  The two community boat ramps are available for hauling out boats in advance of the storm.  The Association Board is also making the boat ramps available for use by persons in neighboring communities to assure that everyone in the surrounding areas can safely haul out boats before the storm arrives.   The ramp in Glebe Harbor is located on Osprey Drive and the ramp in Cabin Point is located on Boat Ramp Road, off Anchorage Drive.  Fresh water and hoses are provided for the purpose of washing down watercraft and trailers.

PLEASE NOTE:  The boat ramps are exclusively for the purpose of launching and hauling out boats and other types of watercraft.  They are not to be used for fishing or crabbing.  Placement of crab pots around the ramp areas or directly from the boat ramp piers is a hazard to navigation and to the safety of people and property.
