Public Hearing on Proposed Fiscal Year 2020-2021 Budget

The hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, April 22, at 1 pm. You can read the public announcement here.
The proposed GH-CP Sanitary District budget is included in the County budget proposal that will be taken up during this public hearing.  The GH-CP SD proposal is a balanced budget that assumes the recreational user fee remains at $200 per lot per year and produces income of $273,900.  No increase in the RUF is proposed.  The budget proposes to provide funding of $46,274 for the Cabin Point Beach Engineering Study and to increase contingency funding from $5,000 to $25,900.  The Engineering Study is to evaluate land and water conditions and to develop options to address long-term erosion control needs, beach replenishment for Cabin Point Beach, and dredging of the Cabin Point Creek inlet channel.  The funds are for the study only and not for project work.
The hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, April 22, at 1 pm.  For the safety of the community during the current COVID-19 emergency, the meeting will be accessible to the public via live stream on social media.  Instructions on how to access the live stream video will be available on the Westmoreland County website (www.westmoreland-county.org).  Citizens wishing to comment are asked to submit written comments to be accepted as part of the public record.  Instructions on how to comment and where comments may be sent are included in the public announcement.
