We were notified this morning by Mt. Holly Lawn Service that a controlled burn of vegetative yard debris will begin later today. The burn will be monitored. Likely, you will smell and see the smoke initially and for the next several days. The burn area is located between Glebe Harbor and Cabin Point on private property (not part of the subdivisions). The ground and vegetation around the burn area is damp from recent rains, assuring conditions are as favorable as possible for controlling the burn. County officials, including fire and law enforcement, have been notified. Again, the burn area will continue to be monitored until extinguished.
