2024 Pool Season Opening a Huge Success!

Over 100 residents joined us at our annual Memorial Day Cookout – hots, hamburgers, chips, and popsicles were enjoyed by all. The water may have been a bit chilly but that didn’t stop the kids in the least. Christy Beamer and her team of lifeguards – Aven Clarke, Lydia Hawkins, Elizabeth Rector (Grace), Giovani Luna, Morgan Sichol, and Debbie Hobbs are committed to ensuring you have a fun and safe summer pool season. Please introduce yourself and your children to the pool staff. Pool rules are posted at the pool and on the website; be sure to share them with family, children, and friends using the pool. Remember access cards are mandatory.

Be sure to watch Glebe Harbor – Cabin Point Facebook page and Glebe Harbor& Cabin Point Owners/Residents Group Facebook pages for updates on pool activities.

The Pool Committee is comprised of Kathy Gold, Andrea Hall, John DelSignore, Fred Selby, Bill Spencer, Christy Beamer, and Jocelyn Davis.  The committee has worked hard to ensure we will have a safe and fun pool season. As a safety measure, we are instituting emergency contact sheets to be completed by all pool attendees. Please be sure to complete a form either on the computer at the pool or using the QR code below. In case of an emergency, we will know how to reach an emergency contact. Our goal is to improve safety at the pool.

Our opening day party was a huge success. Thanks go out to Kathi Blair, Jose Torres, George Payne, Fred Selby, Kathy and John Gold, Linda Steele, and Ed Kirkley for all their help. Please be sure to check out the beautiful mural on the back wall of the garage.  This was done by Teresa Edwards and Marcia Thomason.

We also thank Linda Ball for all her efforts in getting emergency contact information and signing folks in on the first day.

We would also like to acknowledge Bill Spencer and the Facilities Committee for all their efforts in getting the pool ready for opening. They have been busy scrubbing, painting, fixing chairs, and cleaning.  It truly takes a village. Bill has contributed countless hours, so if you see him or members of his committee, be sure to say thanks.

We have a busy summer planned. June 19th is a holiday and the pool will be open holiday hours 10-8 pm. On June 22nd we will have a Howl at the Moon party and we hope to have a food truck. The pool will be open until 10 pm. Games, karaoke, and BYOB.  Watch for more information in Happenings.
