At the September 11, 2023 Board meeting, Scott A. Synnott was officially appointed to serve the remainder of Janet Zwirner’s term following her resignation. This appointment was made in accordance with our by-laws and is to be ratified by the membership at the next General Membership Meeting in December.      Welcome, Scott!

My wife, Marty, and I have been enjoying the GH/CP community for 20 years.  Initially weekenders with small children, we retired and escaped Northern Virginia approximately 2 years ago. I retired after a 40-year career as a Prosthodontist, a specialty of dentistry.  That time included 22 years of active service in the US Navy involving post graduate residencies, leadership positions, deployments, and a host of rewarding challenges both personal and professional.  Retiring as a Captain in 2003, I joined a large, multi-specialty private dental practice in Reston, VA and we purchased a second home here.  Our family quickly learned what a great community we had with friendly folks, boating, fishing, a place just made for relaxing.  My hobbies include woodworking, home renovation, and craft projects with Marty.  My goal is to help ensure the community spirit and our facilities meet the challenges of growth and change while continuing to thrive.
