Water Waze News July, 2023 from Debbie Dever

As a reminder, the July 1, 2023 beach clean-up day has been postponed until fall when beach conditions will be more conducive to clean up. Volunteers who signed up for clean-up day will be notified of a fall date.

Please help keep the beaches and waterways clean – “Leave No Trace”.  Dispose of trash in the waste cans provided; however, if the cans are full, DO NOT pile trash up next to the cans. Take your trash with you. Trash piled up next to the cans attracts wild animals to the location.  Additionally, the cans are not for disposal of personal household trash.

Open fires are not permitted on any of the beaches. If you are grilling on the beach in a closed container or grill, extinguish all enclosed cooking fires and make sure they are cold-out. A cold-out test prevents the risk of embers igniting the marsh or surrounding area on fire.  Again, “Leave No Trace”, only ash should remain.
