Hazardous Household Waste Collection 5/20/23

Westmoreland County’s Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Spring collection will take place at the A.T. Johnson Building parking lot on Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 9am-2pm, rain or shine.

Westmoreland County residents and property owners are asked to bring old household chemicals such as oil-based paint, cleaners, solvents, old or used petroleum products (including mower and boat gas), pool chemicals, pesticides and spent florescent and CFL bulbs to the event. Electronic items are not accepted. The first 100lbs. of waste is free but then there is a $1.05/lb. fee. Cash/checks will be accepted onsite however credit cards will not be accepted. The collection is limited to Westmoreland County residents and property owners only.

Residents should not bring ammunition, radioactive materials, tires, car batteries, medical waste, or prescription drugs.
