The Shoreline Evaluation Program to Present a Public Lecture on Shoreline Protection
The Northern Neck Master Gardeners’ (NNMG) Shoreline Evaluation Program will offer a free program on “Shoreline Basics: 10 Essentials Every Waterfront Homeowner Needs to Know” on June 9 at the Helen and Tayloe Murphy Hall, Westmoreland State Park , Montross. The presentation provides an easy-to-follow guide, designed to help waterfront property owners co-exist with nature and the power of water. The program will help participants understand the basic issues associated with stormwater runoff and the erosive power of tides, winds, and currents.
