Talking Trash….
Everyone has some household trash, and we all want to get rid of it. So what are our options?
Tempting as it might be to use the cans at the beaches or the clubhouse– especially for weekenders – dumping household trash in them is prohibited by our Sanitary District rules. The containers at the beach are for the convenience of beachgoers and to help keep the beaches clean. Those at the clubhouse are for trash from the pool and clubhouse.
Options for disposing of your household trash include using a local service to pick it up, taking it to one of the County collection sites, or (for weekenders) taking it home.
County refuse collection sites are in Montross, Kinsale, and Colonial Beach. Note: The County is sponsoring a hazardous waste disposal event Saturday, September 10th.
