Highlights of the July 14, 2022 Board of Directors Meeting

Cabin Point Beach Project – The bidding process is currently underway and will close on July 26.  The County will then determine the winning bid and plans for the work to begin can put into motion.

Pool – The pool opened on May 28 after hours and hours of volunteer help made it possible.  There has been a greater than expected turnout for the pool events held over both Memorial Day weekend and Fourth of July.

Use of Tennis Courts – Just a reminder that the tennis courts are for tennis and pickle ball and not to be used as playgrounds or dog parks.  The rules are posted at the courts.

Shred-It Day – A company has proposed sponsoring a day for shredding documents to be held in the clubhouse parking lot at no cost to residents. Stay tuned for more information on a date and time for this event.

Projects – The Board is working on a variety of projects one of which is long range financial planning to cover both operational and capital planning expenses.  Another area is getting a Facilities Committee to help us identify what is broken, what do we need, and what is the best way to go about getting things done. Our Association is simply not in a position to just hire out for every need that arises.  Volunteer help is the mainstay of our operations so that we might use those precious dollars for the things we really cannot do ourselves.  If you are called upon to help or have skills that can be put to use, please say yes!

Survey – Much of our work is driven by the results of the annual survey.  This is your chance to let us know what is of importance to you.  As we work to put together this year’s survey, please let us know if there are topic areas you would like to see explored.
