Highlights of the Board of Directors Meeting

 May 9, 2022

Spring Cleanup! – Facilities Director Bill Spencer reports volunteers are very busy getting the pool, equipment, and the surrounding area ready for opening Memorial Day weekend.   Not only have volunteers been readying the pool, they have cleaned up the picnic pavilion, made repairs at the playground, and are giving the Cabin Point  boat ramp restrooms a facelift.  A huge thank you to the volunteers who give so generously of their time and talents!

Lifeguards – We still are in need of   lifeguards and a Pool Manager.  If you know of anyone who would be interested in these positions, please call the clubhouse at 804-472-3646 or email the Association at GHCPAssoc@gmail.com.

Communications – The Board is no longer using the Glennet as a means of communication for GHCP activities that are not open to the public.  In response to members’ requests to have this information delivered via email, two new email interest groups have recently been successfully launched.  The first is “Volunteer Opportunities” and the second is “Happenings.” If you are not receiving these emails and would like to, just call the office (804-472-3646) or email the Association at GHCPAssoc@gmail.com.

Annual Meeting and Election of Officers –The Annual Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. at the clubhouse. Biographies of the proposed slate of candidates will be available on the website soon.  This is your opportunity to participate in electing new members of the Board of Directors as well as hear updates regarding the business of the Sanitary District, updates on facilities, beach projects, and dredging. Mark your calendar for the in-person meeting or be sure to send in your proxy no later than June 3, 2022.
