Highlights of the March 14, 2022 Board of Directors Meeting

Member Services – Now that the Covid-19 transmission levels have decreased significantly in Westmoreland County, the Board voted to resume Happy Hours and other clubhouse activities.  We will continue to monitor transmission data.

Looking for Lifeguards! – The Board voted to raise the salary for lifeguards by $3.00 per hour.  If you are interested in applying or know someone else who might be interested, please contact the office at 804-472-3646 or email at GHCPAssoc@gmail.com.

Safety and Emergency Preparedness – Once again, the County will be offering CPR and defibrillator training classes at the clubhouse.  Each class will be limited to 12 participants. Call the office at 804-472-3646 to register for either Saturday, April 16th or Saturday, May 14th.

Nominations for the Board – Our annual elections will be held at the June meeting.  The Nominating Committee is hard at work contacting prospective Board members.  Please answer the call and offer your time and talent to help make this a great place to live.  We have had many new neighbors move to our community over the past two years and we encourage them to join in and get involved.  You can email the Association for more information at GHCPAssoc@gmail.com.

Communications – The Board is undertaking expanded email communications and recently launched a special interest group called “Volunteer Opportunities.”  The next phase of this expansion will be the transfer of all GHCP communications from the Glen-Net to our own email system.  More details to come soon.

Neighborhood Watch – The Board approved Dave White as the next Coordinator of the Neighborhood Watch program upon the recommendation of C.C. Murphy who will step down from this position in June.  Many thanks to both C.C. and Dave for their volunteer efforts!
