Are you as ready for Spring as I am?

Praying Punxsutawney Phil will not see his shadow on February 2, and we can start thinking about the trees blooming and flowers springing up.

Teresa Edwards plans to hold her “Paint and Sip” oil painting class on Thursday, February 10 at the Clubhouse.  RSVPs are required as the class size is limited to 10 people. $35 per person; all supplies furnished. (Contact Teresa at 804-214-1961)

The Super Bowl party, as of this writing, is still canceled.

Please remember to get in touch with Ronnie Voss (ronnielvoss@yahoo.com) if you are interested in forming an arts and crafters group.  I’m being optimistic that there will be lots of interest shown and a show will be held in the fall.

Hopefully this Suspension will soon be lifted, and we can start to enjoy a little normalcy once again. With that in mind, please consider hosting or co-hosting a spring event – such as the:  Children’s Easter Egg Hunt, Cinco de Mayo, Kentucky Derby, or any other activity that you would like. The past couple of years have been rough and a challenge for all of us.  The children have missed playing and socializing with their friends so it would be wonderful if we had a volunteer(s) to coordinate the Children’s Easter Egg Hunt.

A New Member Orientation event will be held again this year– probably in May.  Last year, this event was well attended, and we felt the attendees had a better knowledge of what the community had to offer to its members (i.e., representatives of the civic associations, communications, access cards and boat decals & parking, the waterways, and social activities, to name a few).

Thanks to all of you who unselfishly volunteer (and participate) to help keep our social activities going.  The camaraderie is wonderful and I appreciate everything you do.
