Some Social Activities Can Resume!

The GHCP Board decided at its April meeting to make the Clubhouse available for meetings of Association-sponsored small groups of 25 or fewer people, provided attendees adhere to Virginia coronavirus guidelines as implemented by the Association.

Although the Coronavirus pandemic is still with us, the Governor has begun to ease restrictions on social gatherings.  As of April 1, Virginia coronavirus guidelines now social gatherings of up to 50 people indoors and 100 people outdoors.

Sponsors of small groups (such as book clubs, bridge, Mah Jongg, and pool players, etc.) can contact Teresa Edwards at the office to schedule their activities for the Clubhouse or picnic pavilion. Specific guidelines and protocols are being developed.

We do not plan to schedule Association-sponsored potlucks or happy hour gatherings inside the Clubhouse, nor rent the Clubhouse facility for private use events, at this time.  We are planning on scheduling Association-sponsored happy hours outside on the pool deck later in May.  As the Governor eases restrictions further, we will gradually reopen the facility and expand the offerings to property owners for both indoor and outdoor events and re-start rentals for private use events.  We will continue to conduct normal business in the Clubhouse office and hold corporate meetings in the Clubhouse facility.
