Update on Dredging of Cabin Point Creek Secondary Channels

Update on Dredging of Cabin Point Creek Secondary Channels—this is the second of two studies looking at Cabin Point Beach shoreline and creek.

Bayshore Design has provided a cost proposal for pre-planning project for dredging the secondary channels that supports an application for funding from the Port Authority, Waterway Maintenance Fund.  The project includes an engineering study, design, plans, and approvals for dredging, multiple disposals sites for dredged materials and sand placement.  The Association and the County are working to resolve issues with the Port Authority related to whether the Sanitary District or County is eligible to apply for funding from the Waterway Maintenance Fund because of the Association ownership of the creek bottoms and leasing of the creek bottoms to the Sanitary District.  The cost proposal is $86,450.
