HIGHLIGHTS OF THE OCTOBER 19, 2020 BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
Work! Work! Work!
Several long awaited projects are happening all at once.
– Dredging of the Cabin Point Creek Inlet begins the week of October 19th.
– Sewer connections for the club house and pool got underway October 19th.
– Roof repairs to the club house slated to begin October 20th.
– Club House Repairs to the exterior walls facing the pool are being made by our volunteer facilities chair, Jim Amery. In addition, he’ll be repairing windows, caulking, painting, replacing light fixtures and trim. Next time you see Jim, be sure to thank him for his many volunteer hours keeping our amenities in good shape and saving us money. Thank you, Jim!
Coronavirus update –The Board agreed to suspend the pilot outdoor Happy Hour socials on the pool deck, now that the number of Covid-19 cases in Westmoreland County is slowly rising, and person-to-person contact in small gatherings is contributing to that rise. We feel this is the most prudent course of action to protect the health and safety of our community.
Cold Weather Cut-off of the wash-down hydrants at the boat ramps – The Board agreed to cut off water service at the boat ramps over the winter. The Sanitary District budget will save $540 by shutting off service on November 2, and restoring service on April 2, 2021.
General Membership Meeting December 5th – Our next General Membership meeting is December 5th. The Board is looking into ways that we can conduct this meeting using both in-person and virtual meeting formats. Watch for more information coming about this meeting and what to expect. If you know you will not be able to attend, be sure to submit your proxy by November 27th. If you previously submitted a 12-month proxy, there is no need to submit a new one until next June.
