Sewing Group Reconvenes

The Sewing Group will reconvene on Saturday, February 11th at 10 AM in the GHCPA Clubhouse. Our project will be to work on quilts for Project Linus (see https://www.projectlinus.org/). This is a nonprofit organization that makes and distributes handmade blankets for children in need. The blankets can be quilted, crocheted, or knitted. You are invited to participate for all or part of the day. Please bring a sewing machine if you have one. And, if you have a sewing project you would like to work on please bring that. The pattern for the quilt we will be working on can be found at: https://store.projectlinus.org/products/Pick-Up-Sticks-Quilt-Pattern-p508157677. I have cut out one quilt that we can work on.

We will meet 10 AM-3 PM with a break for lunch. I will provide pulled pork sliders. Other contributions are welcome but not required.

The Mid-Atlantic Quilt Show is in Hanover, Virginia on February 23-26.  Some of the sewing group has expressed interest in going down for the day. We can discuss it and form carpools for those interested. Details on the Quilt Show can be found at: https://www.quiltfest.com/upcoming-shows-and-events/mid-atlantic-quilt-festival/

Please RSVP by calling or texting Dot Spencer at 410-491-7400. Look forward to seeing you there.
