This Friday, September 2, an engineering crew is placing markers, flags, and staking
locations along Cabin Point Beach near the existing groins. This preliminary work is
being done in preparation for later construction of the breakwaters to protect the beach
and establish the living shoreline. We urge you to exercise caution if you are out on the
beach, in the water, or coming onto the beach area by water. Setting the markers is an
important first step in laying out where construction will be occurring, so please do not
disturb the markers! Thank you for your patience as the construction area is marked.
