Highlights of the October 11, 2021 Board of Directors Meeting

Cabin Point Beach Engineering Study – Applications for all necessary permits have been submitted.

New Ordinance – Westmoreland County Board of Supervisors has approved an ordinance to establish a transient occupancy tax on short-term rentals that will become effective July 1, 2022.

Clubhouse Waterline – The County has accepted a bid from Clark Excavating for $10,750 to replace the waterline into the Clubhouse. The start date has not yet been determined.

Social Activities – Plans for the October 30th Oyster Roast are underway. Other plans for activities during the holiday season are also being proposed.  Watch for upcoming information on those.

CPR and Defibrillator Training Classes – The first class met in September and was a big success.  The October class is fully booked.  If this is something you would be interested in, please communicate with the office or a Board member so that a future class can be scheduled.

We Are Listening – The We Are Listening feature of the Association website will be discontinued due to lack of use for some time now.  Most members appear to prefer just calling (804-472-3646) or emailing  (GHCPAssoc@gmail.com) the office.

Expanded Cable Service – The Board agreed to run a trial period of expanded sports cable channels viewable at the clubhouse.  The details are being worked out, so watch for announcements regarding this expanded amenity.
