This is to let everyone know that there will be pothole repair work undertaken on a few of the non-VDOT roads in the community beginning later this week or early next week. We have contracted with Robert Gawen to do pothole repairs on those non-VDOT roads that had the most damage over the winter and were identified by the Roads Committee in April as needing repairs. We have a limited amount of funding available for repairs on the non-VDOT roads, and these are the roads in priority order for pothole repairs in Glebe Harbor and Cabin Point at this time.
Glebe Harbor:
Weatherall Drive (portion that is not under VDOT maintenance) – about 700 linear feet from N. Glebe to end of state maintenance sign.
Otter Lane – about 950 linear feet (total roadway).
Erica Drive – Pothole repair needed along a portion of the roadway. Most damage is towards the Glebe Harbor Drive end.
Woodland Drive – about 570 linear feet (total roadway).
Cabin Point:
Lighthouse Lane – about 1,180 linear feet from the intersection of Huntsman Lane to just past the entrance to Jaws Count. This does not include Jaws Court.
If you have any questions about the upcoming repair work or you are interested in volunteering with the Roads Committee, please contact Charles Powell, Roads Committee Chair (703-929-3806), or by email to the office (ghcpassoc@gmail.com).
Thank you.
