Community Tapestry Speaker Series (formerly known as 5A)

On Sunday, Steve Merritt shared his personal experiences diving among shipwrecks in the Chesapeake Bay, accompanied by a fascinating and well-researched narrative on the historical accounts of the wrecks, and beautiful photos of dives and recovered artifacts. The four shipwrecks he focused on were the Liberty ship John Morgan, Tug Winthrop, Steam ship Eureka, and Coast Guard Cutter Cuyahoga, but he also featured some wrecks near Cape Hatteras and elsewhere.

In the upcoming spring season finale in May, Bonnie and Kevin Luccio, Wanda Dalling, Amr Seoudy, and Lisa Shannon will share their recent trip to Egypt in the form of a literal feast for the senses. Highlights include the newly opened Grand Egyptian Museum as well as many historical, geographical, and cultural sites.
