Westmoreland County’s Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Fall collection will take place at the A. T. Johnson Building parking lot in Montross on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 9am-2pm. Residents & property owners will not be charged a weight fee for HOUSEHOLD hazardous waste items. The Sheriff’s office will be present to collect prescription drugs. The collection is limited to Westmoreland County residents and property owners only.
Westmoreland County residents and property owners are asked to bring old household chemicals such as oil-based paint, cleaners, solvents, old or used petroleum products (including mower and boat gas), pool chemicals, pesticides and spent florescent and CFL bulbs. NO electronics. Residents should not bring electronics, ammunition, radioactive materials or tires.
