Celebrating Two Successful Community Events

Kudos to our Community Resource Committee!

Our community came together in an inspiring way this fall, hosting two events that truly showcased the power of generosity, teamwork, and volunteer spirit.

Community Giveaway Day – November 1
The Community Giveaway Day was met with tremendous enthusiasm and excitement. Thanks to the abundance of thoughtful donations and the many volunteers who helped organize and clean up, the event was a resounding success. Neighbors were able to take home free items they needed, easing financial burdens while also preventing quality goods from ending up in the landfill. It was a beautiful example of sustainability and community care in action.

Community Clean Up Day – October 11
Earlier in the month, volunteers rolled up their sleeves for Community Clean Up Day, working across seven locations to collect yard waste, old appliances, furniture, and a variety of other discarded items—all disposed of at no cost. Their hard work not only beautified our shared spaces but also made a meaningful impact on the health and safety of our environment.

Thank You, Volunteers
We offer our deepest gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of these community events. A special thank-you goes out to the volunteers who devoted their time and energy to organizing, assisting during, and handling cleanup at one or both events: Tracy and Dave Milne, Scott Synnott, Bill and Dot Spencer, Rebecca and Ken Skinner, Cathy Waters, and Jennifer McCabe.

Your dedication is what makes these initiatives possible, and our community is stronger because of you. Together, we’re proving that small acts of service can make a big difference.
