A Shuckin’ Good Time at the 2025 Oyster Roast!

What a day! Our 2025 Oyster Roast was a huge success — the weather was perfect, the oysters were plentiful, and over 170 friends, families, and neighbors came out to celebrate Fall together as we were serenaded by the lovely voice of Erin Wallace.

The Murphy crew grilled up mouthwatering oysters, while Tommy Long and his team of roasters and shuckers kept the shells flying to meet the nonstop demand. Over at the fryer, the Ewing team turned out golden, crispy oysters that were nothing short of perfection! And of course, a huge thank-you to all who helped serve Sid Mace’s famous barbecue — a true crowd favorite.

We also want to give a big round of applause to Jessica Duncan for managing ticket sales, the Luccios and Tracy Milne for selling 50/50 raffle tickets (and to the anonymous winner who so generously donated the $802 prize back to the Association — wow!), and Suzanne Brady for helping coordinate our Silent Auction setup.

 Silent Auction Success!

The Silent Auction was truly a highlight with over 50 incredible items donated by our generous community.  We raised an amazing $1,757.15 for the Westmoreland Boys & Girls Club!

Located at the former Washington & Lee High School, the Boys & Girls Club offers after-school care, dinner, homework help, STEM programs, and enrichment activities for local kids. The program launched this summer and is currently providing free after-school care through November and December — made possible by your generosity.  Every bid and donation helps this wonderful new initiative grow stronger in Westmoreland County.
