The Northern Neck Sail and Power Squadron is hosting a Vessel Safety Check (VSC) Event on Saturday, May 10th from 10:00AM to 2:00PM. Why? – so that you can boat safely this summer in the GHCP boating area! A Vessel Safety Check is a free, courtesy review of your boat (vessel) to verify the presence and condition of Safety Equipment required by State and Federal regulations. How long does a boat safety check take? It takes approximately 30 minutes. Our Vessel Examiners will come to your boat’s location. Please have your boat clean, with registration and equipment readily accessible. You will receive a report and a 2025 VSC sticker when your boat passes. Register early as we currently only have 24 time slots for Vessel Examiners. Please provide the information below to request a Vessel Safety Check with a first and second choice of half hours to help us schedule everyone. Send your VSC request to our Vessel Safety Coordinator, Sam Edelman at ese006@gmail.com, subject line “VSC 10 May”.
