Our Association frequently sends out requests for volunteers to support our community and the many events we try to make happen. But while we try to acknowledge those who do contribute, we’d really like to recognize and let you know more about some of our volunteer “unsung heroes” who have established a noteworthy history of contributions.
Tracy Milne is certainly one of those people. You may have seen her trimming, clipping, weeding, and generally taking care of the plantings around the clubhouse. Or perhaps you’ve seen her building the oyster bed under the GH-CP sign in front of the clubhouse, or faithfully updating the outside activities notice board along with decorating the bulletin boards. Who is responsible for refurbishing, maintaining, and bringing the restrooms at the Cabin Point boat ramp back to life? That would be Tracy (along with husband Dave). They have also taken over maintaining the clubhouse trailer parking area. And let’s not forget their efforts at clearing and maintaining the Beaver Pond Trail. Of course, Tracy is a regular at community events like the beach cleanups and our recent Community Clean-Up Day. This lady exemplifies generosity of spirit, time, and talent.
So, with our sincere appreciation, Tracy Milne has certainly earned and is hereby awarded the (soon to be coveted) GH-CP Tip of the Hat award for her role in helping keep Glebe Harbor-Cabin Point a “Great Place to Live.” Thank you, Tracy!
